Caerlaverock Estate

Welcome to Caerlaverock Estate

Caerlaverock Tea Room & ShopWelcome to Caerlaverock Estate in Dumfries and Galloway in South West Scotland.

Here at Caerlaverock, we invite you to experience conservation in action. We enjoy bringing people and wildlife together for the benefit of all and we offer you the opportunity to get as close to wildlife in its natural habitat as is possible in the UK.

Our rural estate lies on the eastern bank of the River Nith with striking views across the estuary to Criffel's distant summit. Ancient woodland, upland and pasture, mud flats and marshes, swirling tides and salty sands all contribute to the beauty, the mystery and the undoubted magic of this unique environment that dances to the tune of the seasons of the year. For centuries Caerlaverock has provided a very special sort of sanctuary for man, beast and fowl.
